Day of Surgery On the day of your surgery at Dhaka Eye Care Hospital, please arrive on time and head to the registration desk. Our front desk executives will help you get checked in and will be asked to clear any due payments for your surgery and hospital fees if any. Your name, date of birth, and your Dhaka Eye Care Hospital medical record will be checked here. From the registration desk a nurse will guide you to Day Care Room (Lounge). There will be a 2-3 hour waiting time due to preoperative preparation. One of our nursing staff will prepare you for your operation.

The preoperative preparation includes: Checking your Dhaka Eye Care Hospital medical record details. Checking your blood pressure and blood sugar (if necessary). You will be asked to sign a consent form for the anesthetic. Changing into a hospital gown and footwear. Surgical site marking depending on your procedure. Preparing your eye for the operation. This may include a series of eye drops. Attach small self-adhesive monitor stickers to your chest and legs to monitor you during the operation.

Our anesthesiology staff will review your medical history, assess your physical condition and decide on the anesthesia that's best for you. Once you have been prepared for surgery you'll be seated in the Day Care Room until your name is called. Friend or family members accompanying patient may wait in the Day Care Room. It is important to continue all your normal medication, including your eye drops as prescribed by doctor on the of surgery.
