After Surgery After your procedure at Dhaka Eye Care Hospital you will be transferred from operating theater to the Day Care Room. Our nursing staff will assist you from the trolley into a comfortable chair. A nurse will watch you closely and make sure you are comfortable. The nurse and anesthesiologist will decide when you are ready to go home. You will then change back into your street clothes. You will be discharged into the care of a responsible adult and will be given written post-operative instructions to take home.

Post-operative instructions include: Instructions for any new medications. Pain relief after your operation. Eating and drinking instruction. Follow-up appointment details with your surgeon. Emergency contact numbers.

Usually you will have an appointment with your surgeon on the day following your operation. The medicines and further eye examinations continue till 6 weeks to make sure your eyes heal well. It is very important you continue to use your eye drops as prescribed by your surgeon. If problems or questions arise when you are recovering at home, please contact us on emergency numbers.
